Name ; age ; identification ; location (ASL)?

My name is Jacki Tut, I identify as female and I’m from Melbourne’s South East.

Sun, Earth or Moon?

I’m an earth girl to the core. Walking barefoot in some grass? Priceless. Hiking in the mountains? Priceless. I’m a simple girl to be fair, so it’s the obvious choice.

Why music? What drew you to it?

If you would have told younger me I’d ever pick up a mic and perform in front of people, she wouldn’t believe it. But at 18 I got to a place where I was like, I don’t want to wonder “what if” 10-15 years down the line because I was too afraid to try. I had some songs recorded on my phone and people around me that saw talent in me and pushed me to put myself out there, and the rest is history…

Favourite track created to date and why?

My favourite track worked on to date is ‘Black Tears’. This is because I saw it transform from a song I created from some simple guitar chords, to a full blown out intricately produced track. A lot of time went into creating the song, other artists hopping on to help out with background vocals and countless hours. But in the end it became a song I’ll forever be proud of, and it’s a song that’s close to my heart.

If you could manifest anything to exist in the Outer South East, what would it be?

I would manifest all the roadworks being completed. It’s been probably 10 years at this point and we still ain’t getting anywhere.

“If you would have told younger me I’d ever pick up a mic and perform in front of people, she wouldn’t believe it. ”
