Name ; age ; identification ; location (ASL)?
My name is Tadiwanashe Jurgen Nyerenyere, I go by Taddy and my stage name is go by TAĐ!WA, which is pretty much TADIWA but spelt with different letters and symbols. Identify as male. Live in the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne – Clyde North.
Sun, Earth or Moon?
Sun would be my initial choice, I’m full of energy and generally a morning person. I love being in the sun although I’m really a homebody. But I like to envision myself as light and sunshine to others. Making a difference, a positive one in anyone and everyone I come into contact with.
Why music? What drew you to it?
I don’t think I had a choice really, music chose me before I had the chance to choose it, constantly being put into rooms full of industry people unintentionally as well. I realized music was my calling when I was DMd by Big Shiz, he is a grammy award winning producer - produced say my name Destiny’s Child and Michael Jackson's - You Rock My World, that was really the lightbulb moment from me that and occasional DM from Jessie J. That is when i decided to take music seriously and choose it as it had clearly been choosing me. I can’t go without music, my life is music.

Favourite track created to date and why?
I have a whole bunch of cool stuff I have been working on which you'll hear at my live performances, currently I'm performing half the songs from my up and coming EP ‘The Process of Betrayal’ which talks about my life and the last few years of it, with toxic relationships, friends and interactions with religious organizations, and how that left me feeling empty and betrayed, the EP is broken down into the stages of Betray hence why its called the Process of Betrayal. Shout out to my therapist for helping me put those emotions into lyrics
If you could manifest anything to exist in the Outer South East, what would it be?
I place and network where artists can mingle and network similar to Stevie Mackey’s taco Tuesday where creatives come around to sing for each other, laugh, have tacos and network etc, that along with a professional recording studio would be amazing especially for me…I'm a homebody.
If you could manifest anything to exist in the Outer South East, what would it be?
I love the quietness of the South East as compared to inner city life, i'd like to shout out my friends podcast ‘The Disruption Podcast’ where they have been interviewing a whole bunch of South Eastern artists, athletes, entrepreneurs and people making waves in the arts world, and most importantly giving voices to people that are normally muted or silenced or no one really pay attention to.
TAĐ!WA will be performing at the S.E.M Festival 2022 at The Shed. You can also find TADIWA on Spotify and Instagram.
